Works car it retired at Silverstone in May 1952, Le Mans in June 1952. Fifth at Silverstone, July 1952 driven by Walker, lead for 8 of 9 hours at Goodwood, August 1952, Moss/Walker: Broke track records at Shelseay and Prescott Aug/Sept 1952. Rolt 1st at Goodwood Sept. 1952 ahead of Moss: Moss retired from Mille Miglia 1953: 17th 1953 Targa Floria Tommy Wisdom. Lent to Dunlop for testing and registered POV 114. Sold to Michael Salmon 1957 and raced for two full seasons. Owned since 1963 by Guy Griffiths and on display in the Campden car collection.
Probably car used for Motor road test in late 1952, in April 1953 it was the car driven at Jabbeke by Dewis at 148,435mph and then used as the practice car No.18 at Le Mans. 1953 Reims 12hr 1st, Moss/P Whitehead. Goodwood 9hr, Moss/Walker - con rod broke. Sent to France in 1954 after accident to XKC047 and rebuilt using mechanics from damaged car, assuming new identity XKC047.
First owned by Robert Blackwood, raced at Albany, Georgia. Later owned by James Lazor in Cleveland Ohio.
First owned by Commander John Rutherford running at 133.07mph at NASCAR speed week, Daytona Beech 1953 later owned by Ralph Steiger Ohio late 1960‘s.
Sold to J.Hall and raced then sold to Maston Gregory and won at Golden Gate California, burnt out in practice at Floyd Bennett races. Bought by Tage Hansen and rebuilt using parts from XKC034, several owners later brought back to UK by Campbell Mclaren 1970‘s.
Sold to Henri Peignaux via Paris and shared with friend Luc Descollanges, fastest at Montlhery in 1953 Soleil Cannes rally test but crashed. Descollanges crashed during the 1953 Mille Miglia killing co-driver Ugnon.
First owned by Stirling Edwards, San Francisco 1953: 3rd at Torres Pines California later crashed by Mechanic at Pebble Beach. Won first Torres Pines 6hr 1954 ran many hill climbs then kept as concours show car by Charles Davies.
Sold via Brussels to Juan Manuel Fangio who sold it to Jose Millet of Buenos Aires and was raced at Mendoza i in June 1953: finished 3rd. Sold to Mr Magnasco. Next owner was Ernesto Tornqvist whom Millet intended to purchase from 1960‘s.
Sold via Brussels to Hermann Roosdorp of Antwerp. Best result was 3rd in the 1953 Spa 24hr later Crashed during the NUR burring 1000km race. Achieved 234kmh but failed to win Belgian speed record. Later owned by JL van Dieten, came 5th at 1954 Zandvoort sports-car (dutch GP substitute) race. Later owned by K. De Groot and subsequently sold in the USA .
Sold to Frank Larson of Decatut Illinois 3rd at Offutt AFB, Nebraska June 1953, won at Wilmot Hills driven by Fred Wacker. Raced by Carroll Shelby in 1954 including 2 wins in Texas, then owned by WL Petrie and later by Herb Stetler 1970‘s.
